Troy Freeman founded Helping Thru Horses in 2017 dedicated to the Rescue , Rehabilitation and Restoration of both Horses and People, with a Godly Purpose.
Helping Thru Horses is based upon the core principle that trust must be earned through hard work and consistency of one's actions and words.
We believe that given the right tools and support, horses and people young and old can thrive and have a Godly purpose for their lives regardless of their emotional wounds or life's challenges. A Godly purpose filled life always includes Helping others.

My experience at the farm was amazing! I learned so much about horses and the responsibilities of taking care of them.
Their personalities are so very different. Each one brought out different things in me. When I first met Buddy and Sissy I had a substantial amount of fear of horses. I saw them as temperamental and unpredictable animals. The truth is that they are beautiful examples of some of Gods best creations. Funny, unique and lovable. They are also strong powerful creatures whose size you must always respect and be aware of and they are perceptive. They know what you’re feeling and directly reflect it back to you. It helped me be more aware of my feelings and how those feelings affected my body.
I worked with Buddy the most so he got to see me go through a lot of things. I think my greatest takeaway was learning to be confident and calm at the same time. Another thing that was beneficial for me was that it gave me the ability to step away from life and my burdens and escape for a few hours. I always left feeling more joy, peace and confidence than I had when I showed up.
Working with Troy was incredible. He saw me for who I was and I never felt pressure from him. He taught me so much about horses. Over the years I had heard things about horses that weren’t true and he corrected those things and taught me what horses are really like. He has so much knowledge and love for horses. Yes, he spoils them and they live the life of luxury they deserve.
I would definitely recommend Troy, Buddy and Sissy. They are a terrific team and no matter where you are in life or what obstacles you’re facing, you would benefit greatly from spending time with them.

Working in the mental health / addiction world, I have personally experienced the priceless gift one can get by working with horses and Equine Therapy in particular. My own journey with horses started at two years of age and then again at 30 when I chose the path of sobriety and emotional healing. From the very beginning this always involved my relationship with horses and the lessons one can learn from them.
Helping Thru Horses along with the guidance of Troy Freeman, has impacted several of my clients in the most positive ways along with healing some of my own personal relationships.
Troy and his particular conduct with his horses, showing such love and compassion ,reminds clients of what it feels like to keep a light hearted attitude while in the background learning important life skills and lessons.
I would support Troy and Helping Thru Horses in whatever capacity you can. He has had a great impact on my clients and on my own family.

Dear Troy:
Thank you so much for your lovely words about my daughter Annie. I am most grateful that she had the opportunity to spend time with you, Buddy and the rest of your animals.
We've always had animals in our home and, without a doubt, I believe they grounded Annie in the love in her heart that's always been there. You can't manufacture that.
Every blessing to you and the work you do,
