Our mission is to provide a meaningful social activity for seniors to connect with horses and with others, to enjoy nature in a calm rural atmosphere, get exercise and to interact with horses in a safe environment. We are committed to providing everyone with an experience that will benefit them physically, emotionally, and mentally. Many seniors fall in love with our horses and come back weekly. Many want to give back to others and go on to become a volunteer to help other seniors experience the same fulfillment and purpose that they have acquired with a horse.

The close interaction and relationship with a horse is without a doubt one of the most physically and psychologically beneficial activities a person with autism or asperberghers can do. The purpose of my teaching sessions is to allow practical hands on activities with Buddy and Sissy. My emphasis with each client is that they are not alone and they can cope with handling the stresses of daily tasks and functioning. They experience success overcoming simple barriers and get a reward from their companion horse. Depending upon the scale of mental and physical ability of each person, Buddy, Sissy and myself will meet them exactly where they are capable of interacting. Horses need a lot of care and maintenance. The physical exercise of brushing, cleaning and walking a horse is great exercise plus it gives a person a sense of an important accomplishment and mission.
